Lets face it the QM2 is too big and quite shabby in many areas.
Potholes are everywhere under the carpet in many corridors and public areas. Nowhere near a 5 star ship, I would rate it a 3.
The food is meagre served with a dismal face and in a rush, 3 orders were wrong in 4 days.
Cabin charge of $11.50 per person per day is a rip off as is the Cunard VAT of 15% on all booze which makes a pint of beer or larger £4 or $6, this is extortionate as duty free bulk purchases cost lest than 60p a pint. I know as I am a publican - remember they pay no duty or VAT on sales..
The cabin was tired and the sheets not changed in 4 days. The towels had stains and were not at all fluffy and quite hard.
The general standard of clientele has deteriorated over the years with formal nights still having slobs without a jacket and even trainers being worn-get a life. No dress code is enforced although blathered about in each daily newssheet.
The good bits are that she rode seas well and the iconic nature of a big liner still has some charisma.
The entertainment was just typical 2nd rate cruise rubbish with shouty singers and overloud backing bands.
The sane act appeared 3 times in 4 nights - yes unbelievable!!
Unless you get a cracking deal she is just not worth the money. QV is far superior at every level.
