Sail Date: May 2014

Our family took a 13 night cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette in late May 2014, leaving from Venice, Italy and arriving in Rome, Italy. The ship's itinerary included Slovenia, Croatia, other Italian cities, and Malta. This ship was immaculate and the customer service was outstanding. We so enjoyed the food in all of the areas, including the Oceanview Buffet, Grand Cuvee dining room, Bistro on Five and Tuscan Grille. All of the staff went out of their way to make our vacation a lovely experience.

We did some ship shore excursions, mostly, the "on your own" transport as well as individual touring.

The Silhouette is designed so there are many "nooks and crannies" for quiet solitude so we did not have the feeling of being with almost 3000 people. Our cabin was a "partially obscured" balcony room, meaning we only had to look over the top of a life boat - the views were spectacular. There were 3 of us in the cabin - our son slept on the sofa bed, made up for him each night, and he was very comfortable. The bathroom was great, with the cabin stewards making sure that we had any necessary amenities. This was the first time that we have traveled on a Celebrity ship, and it will be hard not to compare future ships with this gold standard ship!

Cabin Review

Immaculate, spacious room with all of the amenities.
