First time with Celebrity, and would definitely cruise with Celebrity again. This was our third cruise to Alaska and chose Celebrity mostly for the itinerary as my husband and I wanted to see Hubbard Glacier and leaving out of Vancouver is convenient as we live just across the border in WA. We used Amtrak going nb and Quickshuttle going sb for transportation, both worked well with the exception of getting off Amtrak in Vancouver, pouring rain and all the luggage was unloaded at the end of the train furthest from the station with no covered walkway, a lot of wet people and luggage! That was the only glitch. We lucked out with the rain as it was dry during all of our port days, rained while traveling.

Did few excursions other than the tram in Juneau and a bus out to Mendenhall Glacier - other than that it was public transportation to see the city museum in Juneau, the totem park in Ketchikan, and walking around each town and shopping! Hubbard Glacier was awesome, cloudy but were able to get close and saw lots of calving, took a lot of great pictures.

As far as the Century itself, yes it is an older ship but we enjoyed it - just the right size for us. Staff was visible, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. Food was very good in the MDR, had breakfast a couple of times in the buffet which was good, had one dinner in the buffet and that was only fair. Stick with the MDR, you won't be disappointed. Had the classic beverage package as a perk, which was perfect for us as we love coffee and used the Cova coffee a lot [I'm pretty sure I tried each and every pastry there too :) ]. We did not catch any shows onboard, we did enjoy listening to the bands in the bars in the evening, watching for whales in the Hemisphere lounge, and loved the onboard naturalist Milos give his daily talks. All in all, very laid back vacation for us and we loved every minute, ready to go again!
