Thomson Dream Cruise Review by mikeysh1: Wonderful holiday

Having read the reviews , we were slight worried about our second cruise with Thomson. Now I do not know why. Our flight and embarkation were faultless and without delay. We arrived late in the day to spotless cabins and ship, yes the ship is a bit older than the newer block of flats design, but at least you know that you are on a ship.
The food all week was great, especially our evening in the a la carte in sirens restaurant. We ate in the buffet restaurant, lido, for most breakfast and lunch. And a split between all for our evening meal. And cannot really fault either quality or service.
All the entertainment venues were well attended and again fantastic evenings were had. Taken care off by the house band's, entertainment and show teams. All of which work tirelessly day and night always with a smile and a hello.
The bars also were fun . Sometimes the service could have been a bit slicker, but no long waits , even during the England v Uruguay football game, More that was in a smaller bar but absolutely rammed, did seem to empty at the end quickly though!!!
The casino again was looked after by well trained and happy staff, who were more than helpful to those who were not casino regular player's.
Even the captains daily tannoy chat was entertaining , sometimes a bit over the top,but at least he seemed interested in his passengers.
All ports of call were lovely. My main piece of advice on this is livorno is a must for a trip as the port itself is completely industrial.
Overall my wife, father and mother in law and myself had a wonderful holiday, on which we can only credit the crew of this fabulous resort at sea Less
