Overall good cruise

Sail Date: June 2014
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

Just back from 7 night eastern Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Glory. This is my 10th carnival cruise and second on glory. There were a few hiccups but overall this was a very good cruise. Arrived at the port of Miami promptly at noon, and onboard within 45 mins. Our cabin was ready, then up to the red sail restaurant for lunch. Line was short and moved quickly. First small issue was the muster drill. It didn't start until almost 4 and the boat was leaving port during the drill, so we missed most of the sail away. Again small issue

First port was half moon caye. The beach was great. We waiting about 1.5 hours after anchoring to catch a tendor. Walked right on the tender and were on the island within 15 mins. We sailed at 5 and decided to beat the crowds back to the boat and catch the tender about 2:30. The line was horrible and waited over an hour to board the tender. It's was 90 and sunny and no water or drinks were provided until you got to the front of the line. One on More the tender we had to wait another 45 mins to get back on the boat. These were both relatively minor annoyances.

This cruise also visited Grand Turk, Puerto Rico and st Maarten. All of these ports had plenty to do and getting on and off the ship at all was relatively easy.

For some reason the back adults only pool was closed the last 2 sea days. The said the skydome was broken and could not be opened, which is understandable, but not sure why the pool could not be opened as the sky dome was closed on the first night but pool remained open. Because of this the main pool deck was very crowded

We had any time dining in the golden dining room and were fortunate enough to have Reagan, Jumali, and Artem as our wait staff 5 night. They were all excellent, attentive and very efficient. The food was good. Nothing special. About what you expect from Carnival.

I also must recommend Kyle in the piano bar. He was engaging, witty and put on a great show. Bar waitress Valishia in the piano bar was great as well. Very sweet lady, everyone who encounter her loved her.

CD Dr E was great. He was funny and made time to talk to all the passengers. He could always be seen around the ship talking and taking pictures with everyone. The one complaint I heard few days but became quite annoying after the 4th day. I heard this complaint from many others. Again that was a minor annoyance and didn't take away from the cruise

All in all this was a very good cruise, and I would definitely cruise Glory again Less

Cabin review: Carnival Glory Balcony Verandah 8363

Cabin was good no complaints. Heard a bit of noise from the Lido deck above. But nothing major. Cabin was really close to the lessor used mid ship elevators
