I was about to prepare a long review of this cruise for Iceland and Norway but Skandic6 has beaten me too it. His complaints are almost exactly the same as ours. The trip was very enjoyable but I am afraid that, since we started cruising with RCCL 10 years and 8 cruises ago, their standards have dropped considerably. The ship was very tired looking. Our Grand Suite (1568) was nice but close inspection revealed lots of little issues that need looked into. (Curtains poorly hung, shower temperamental, torn and worn valance around bed.)

Food was very good in the main dining room but in the Windjammer, which we normally prefer, the food was poor with little choice. Alright if you like Indian food very day. Indian food tended to make up approximately 50% of the selection every day! Fresh fruit was delivered only once during the entire cruise and there were a couple of deliveries of canapés/petit fours - 5 pieces between 2 off us. Not what you would expect when paying for a Grand Suite.

Apart from 3 superb acts the standard of the nightly productions was poor. I believe Butlins does better! The RCCL own production shows we over-amplified probably to cover up the fact that the cast were miming throughout! The standout performance was Kerry Ellis in Tell Me on A Sunday by Andrew Lloyd Weber! Perhaps she should give the RCCL singers and dancers a lesson and stagemanship! Credit is also given to the Zoots and Graffiti Classics. No credit to the Welsh "singer/comedian" who could not sing nor tell original jokes A real prima Dona!

Cabin Review

Our Grand Suite (1568) was nice but close inspection revealed lots of little issues that need looked into. (Curtains poorly hung, shower temperamental, torn and worn valance around bed.) We wold have expected more luxury given the price of a Grand Suite!
