Sail Date: Jun 2014

We sailed from Southampton 8th June to Guernsey, Cherbourg,Oporto and La Coruna.

Check in was quick and easy as always, we were on the ship having lunch in no time at all.The check in staff very pleasant and polite.

I must admit that i was a little apprehensive after reading several reviews re cost cutting measures and the pre plating of main course in the main dining rooms. We were on a table of 4 in the Peninsular restaurant on 1st sitting. I need not have worried, although the food came already plated, it was very good and the portions sizes were ample. I had no problem with choices on menu, starters, soup and deserts were excellent. We did seem to get green beans every night though - not a problem if you like green beans. The waiters Bruce and Kalam were fantastic and made our week, very professional and entertaining, always offering extra portions and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in Sindhu, a fantastic meal and well worth the cover charge. Gave Seventeen a miss, not keen on that , bring back Gary Rhodes.

Cabin Review

We tried an inside cabin for a change and was pleasantly surprised , lots of room and well appointed. Good storage, clever use of mirrors and comfy bed and pillows.
