Recently on the Dawn, Boston to Bermuda, in a suite for the 1st time. My wife and I ( our 4th cruise)and our 2 adult daughters ( their 2nd cruise) travelled on this cruise for our 1st family vacation since June,2008 (cruise to Alaska).

Arrived in Boston late afternoon Wednesday and planned on sightseeing on Thursday ( arghh!! rained all day). We hopped onboard a trolley to see what we could and to try to stay dry too. Would love to see more of Boston in good weather.

Arranged for a pickup from our hotel to the cruiseport on Friday. Breezed thru check-in and waited 30 minutes in the special waiting room for priority embarkation before being escorted onto the Dawn. Delivered our things to our SJ suite and proceeded to the Venetian main dining room for lunch ( quiet and peaceful versus buffet). We prefer to start our cruises this way instead of helterskelter, lol

Cabin Review

Fantastic room for a family or 4-5 adults. We had a king bed, murphy bed and fold out sofa ( ask for eggcrate). The bathroom was of good size and layout with double sinks, tub and separate shower with rainforest showerhead. The floor to ceiling windows were great to view the outside. Close to elevators or pool area. We didn't miss having a balcony since you could be outside in 2-3 minutes. The butler will bring dvd's, snacks, etc when requested.
