Relaxing Family Fun
We booked this cruise about a month before we sailed as a family vacation. The price was reasonable and it went to ports we have never been to. The boarding process was well managed and before long we were on board ready to enjoy all the Victory had to offer. We booked inside because we planned on being on deck more than in the room. The rooms were typical carnival staterooms small and clean. We had awesome cabin stewards who were in and out of our room twice daily making sure everything was clean and comfortable. We chose late night dining so we had time to enjoy the day. Our wait staff was friendly and called us by name each evening. The food was also your typical cruise food, nothing to complain about, As usual the chocolate melting cake was awesome!
We enjoyed the two ports, Ocho Rios Jamaica and Grand Cayman. The only complaint from our group was that we needed more time in each port. Jamaica was more of a party, fun atmosphere while Grand Cayman was relaxing and laid More back. We toured Jamaica, shopped and laid on Bamboo Beach. In Grand Cayman we did the shore snorkel excursion which was well worth the money. This was the first snorkel excursion for half of the group and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The ship could have used some updating and a larger liquor store, but overall, we had a great trip on the Victory and would definitely go on this shop again! Less

This was the typical inside cabin, could have used an update, but the rooms were clean and well maintained. We had awesome cabin stewards who kept our room clean and always greeted us with a friendly smile and hello.
Port and Shore Excursions
Our group decided to book the shore snorkel experience. Half of our group had never snorkeled before and we thought this would be a good fit for all of us. The excursion was well organized where we were met at the port and escorted to a bus for the 5 minute ride to the dive spot. When we got to Don Foster's dive site we were greeted by 3 very professional instructors who informed us of what we needed to know and then suited us up. This excursion was entitled shore snorkel, but you could not walk into the water. We were instructed to get in the water by using the ladder and then put on our gear. We were in the water about an hour and a half and we saw a variety of fish and coral. The water was crystal clear! Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed this excursion and would do it again on future trips to Grand Cayman.
This was a very relaxing day! We chose not to take an excursion, however, when we got off the ship we decided to hire a driver to take us around the city. Leroy took us to view Dunn's River Falls, through the city of St. Anne to see how the typical Jamiacan's live, and to the private Bamboo beach. Our tour with Leroy ended in the shopping district which was an easy 5 minute walk back to the port. The shopping area was rather small but suited our needs for souvenirs and a cool drink on a hot June day. We stumbled on Margaritaville and hung out there for about an hour enjoying the music, pool with water slide, and the small beach area. I was impressed on how clean Ocho Rios was. The one complaint I had read about was how the peple beg you,but we never really experienced this even when we walked back to the cruise port. People would ask you to buy something, but if you said no that was it, they would leave you alone. Overall, it was a great day and I'm looking forward to going back in the future.
Still a Great Bargain
