Sail Date: May 2014

Before I critique my cruise aboard the MSC Divina from May 19, 2014 to June 7, 2014 I would like to state my credentials as an avid cruiser. I have cruised aboard ships of Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean. I have been on over 14 cruises, at least one every year.

I booked my cruise aboard the Divina in November of 2013, it was suppose to depart on May 24, 2014 but was changed to May 19, 2014, I later discovered that the reason for the cruise was to position the ship as a floating hotel during the WORLD CUP and that the charter was known before I booked my cruise and yet they didn’t inform me at the time of the booking. Another thing they failed to tell me was that this was not an English speaking cruise. I later found out that It was mandatory that I sign a SOUTH American Consent Form before being allowed to go on this cruise, yet VACTIONS TO GO never receive this form. I don’t know if the reason for this is, lack of professionalism or just a “ Get used to it “ attitude, later in the cruise I discovered after talking to Pavel Gazzo, GRM MSC really does not care how rude and pathetic their attitude is towards their passengers.

Since I had already booked my flights before being notified that the date had changed I worked with Jim Henwood to get reimbursed for my penalties and extra fees associated with this revelation. I spent over 10 hrs on the phone communicating with Jim Henwood, I would like to thank him for his help. I do have one question, why didn’t he inform me that this was a non-English speaking cruise?
