My wife and I just returned from our first cruise, and we were very happy with the experience. As a matter of fact, we just booked our second cruise on the newly refurbished Majesty of the Seas in March and are taking two of our children with us this time.

We booked through RCCL including air travel. When we arrived at Ft. Lauderdale, we immediately found the RCCL representatives and collected our luggage. After about a 15-minute wait for the shuttle bus to arrive, we were on our way to the boat. In a surprisingly short period of time we were issued sea passes and on board ready to start our vacation. We upgraded to a balcony room on deck eight on the advice of my wife's cousin and her husband who were also traveling with us. This was I believe their 5th RCCL cruise and we were very happy to have them along and to have their advice. Our room was extremely clean and we never felt the least bit cramped. Our room attendant was excellent and she always greeted us by name starting the first day.

Our overall impression of the ship was very good. You noticed a little wear and tear every once in a while (this is a 6-year old ship) but everything appeared very clean and well maintained. We definitely noticed crewmembers cleaning and painting all the time. One of the things that stood out was the great service we received from the crew. Any problems or questions we had were dealt with quickly and in a very friendly manner.
