We did the northbound inside passage/voyage to the glaciers cruise starting in Vancouver on May 24 and ending in Anchorage. This was our third trip on the Crown Princess, fifth overall with Princess (others were in Europe and Caribbean), and it was great.
Embarkation/disembarkation: we learned from prior cruises the advantage of doing pre- and post-cruse hotels and airport transfers with Princess. Even if it costs a bit more (and it doesn't always) the convenience is worth it. Upon arrival after a long trip to Vancouver, the Princess airport rep was right there, and since we were the only Princess passengers arriving on our flight, she had a pre-paid taxi arranged for us. We stayed at the Four Seasons at a better room rate through Princess than we could have obtained otherwise. The morning of the cruise our luggage was picked up from our room, and it was in our stateroom when we got on the ship. We also did the Princess transfer to downtown Anchorage and then to the airport. Again, so easy. Our luggage was picked up from our stateroom, we spent the day in Anchorage, and when we were done our luggage was waiting for us.
Service: the service on the ship was uniformly good. Our steward was attentive, and anyone else I needed to talk with was very helpful. Several times we had room service for breakfast; we specified the particular time we wanted it, and it arrived literally that minute.
Everything in this suite was fine, my only issue is that the couch seemed smaller than the ones in the mini-suites.
