Probably our Last

Sail Date: June 2014
Destination: Bermuda
Embarkation: Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Cape Liberty: this was our second cruise from Bayonne and we enjoy cruising from Bayonne.

Check In: Celebrity really let us down, looking back I'm not sure if I should laugh or Cry.

Ship: It's in good shape, the only issue we had was two of the four outdoor hot tubs generally were not working. There was less empasis on hand washing than on previous cruises and there was less cleaning of surfaces. Compared to S Class ships there is less to do. For us the gym and staff were adequate at best.

Ship Staff: Great, a couple of employees clearly did not want to be there but they were so few as to have no effect on our cruise. We did witness some very poor customer service, the customer probably doesn't know. We first saw her at guest relations, then by coincidence saw her again on the pool deck talking to a supervisor. The supervisor then walked over to the offending employee who happened to be near us. The emploee quicky put the blame on the cutomer and with that More the supervisor walked away. We did not experience any service delays, either from the bar staff or MDR staff. Our excursion booked through Celebrity was great, we went kayaking. Our cabin waas great and Jose took good care of us. The MDR was fine and Medina took great care of us. Based on the first night's entertainment we did not go back, except for the comedian, he was good, and 54 below, adequate. The entertainment just didn't live up to the hype. Our first Celebrity cruise was a 12 night cruise from Bayonne to the caribean on an S class ship. We had more activites than we could do each sea day. On this cruise it was hard to find something to do.

Future Celebity Cruise: We have been booked on the Infinity for a cruise from South America through the Canal and on to FL. We booked this a long while back and have what I consider to be a good price. This a cruise we've wanted to do for a long time but based on this cruise we will probably cancel the Infinity cruise. One last comment, people two cabins from us smoked on the balcony. We went to guest relations and they took care of it immediately. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Summit 7049

The cabin was great, has a large balcony. This is a port side cabin. While in Bayonne we had a view of NYC, in Bermuda we had a view of the Dock Yard. We had three in our cabin and it was fine.
