Where should I start? First off, this ship is 22 years old and definitely shows it inside and out. This was my fourth cruise overall, two on the Carnival Sensation, and last year on the Celebrity Constellation. The room was interior, and was was a lot smaller than expected. Royal Caribbean has positioned itself as being better than Carnival, but the food was on Carnival's level. Every dinner in the main dining room was sub-par, where I had steak, beef tenderloin, and eggplant parmasean (the eggplant was so bad I ordered the salmon which still was not good). The breakfast buffet had few options, was not good, and was not laid out efficiently. The pizza bar had no veggie option and the pizzas were not that great. The deli had pre-made sandwiches and made-for-you panninis and wraps in the same line, which took forever due to only two cooks, and a consistent line of 20 or more people. The bar staff was ok, but many of the bars were slow, and not staffed properly. In the Schooner bar I wanted a Crown and Coke, they said they were out of Crown, the casino bar right behind the Schooner bar had Crown, so why they couldn't borrow bottles from them is odd.

My toilet overflowed, and I had to kick the water in the drain so it wouldn't go into the room while I waited over 20 minutes for maintenance to come. The entertainment was scheduled during my dinner time which was 9 pm, and they didn't have two shows in the theater for both seatings. The comedian at 11 pm the last night was not funny either. My drink package was more expensive per day than last year on the Celebrity (which is owned by Royal Caribbean), and this year did not include the coffee bar.

Disembarkation was horrible, there was a fire in Miami which caused smoke in the city, which delayed our docking for a while. Unfortunately they did not keep the breakfast buffet stocked later than 8:30, even though we were still not docked yet, which caused many people to show up late to breakfast and find nothing there to eat. Because the ship was late to dock, everybody got off at the same time, (they should have a plan for this, but seemed they didn't) this caused mass confusion and all levels leading to one door. It was extremely hot while waiting in line to leave the ship, and it took a very long time to disembark. In the end, they need to scrap this piece of metal or sell it to a lesser company.

Cabin Review

The room was very small and was hard for four people to stay in and not get each others stuff mixed up. The TV was hanging on the wall, not secure at all, I informed our attendant and they did nothing, I thought it was going to fall.
