I just got off the Norwegian Getaway on 6/7/14. I went on vacation with my fiancé, 15 other family members of his, and our 2 nieces (one 7 months old, one 4.5 years old). My first cruise was on Royal Caibbean's Freedom in October of 2013, but my fiancé and his family have been on about 6-8 cruises with Royal. This was everyone's first time with NCL and we chose it because they had free room upgrades and $150 on-board credit per passenger since this was a new ship.

Embarkation:

We arrived about 10:30am and didn't have to wait in any lines. We did however have to wait until about 11:30am to board this ship, but you were given a boarding group after you passed check-in so it all went very smoothly and quickly. When we got on the first thing my fiancé and I did was purchase the Ultimate Beverage package. We should've gotten it a week prior because it was $5 cheaper per day, but we didn't decide we wanted it until the day we boarded.

Cabin Review

I think the only difference between our room and a regular balcony was the bathroom. The shower was huge and had jets from top to bottom. Our balcony was decent size and there was plenty storage and walking room throughout.
