This was our first cruise with NCL but our fifth overall. It was not the cheapest cruise by far but it was certainly the least impressive.
The embarkation at Vancouver was horrendous - we waited in queues for nearly 3 hours and the check in staff were very unprofessional and slow.
On boarding the ship there was nobody around to direct us and when we did find someone to ask where we could get lunch they did not know!
The lack of information in your cabin as to where to find guide to TV channels etc - on one of the channels and if you missed the information you wanted, had to wait 25 mins for it come round again!
Steward did not come to introduce himself, which would have helped.
Coffee ordered through room service was cold.
Service in the restaurant was appalling - we had wine, water and coffee spilt with no apologies!
We waited for our orders to be placed whilst the waiting staff chatted to other passengers, sometimes for up to 20 mins.
The table linen was often dirty and the tables rarely cleaned in the buffet area.
We found the staff often very sullen and unhelpful.
Entertainment was mediocre, we met so many people who could not wait for the last day to come.
Everything could be so much improved with just a little more thought.
