I should have seen it coming

Sail Date: June 2014
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Miami

3 Night cruise from MIA to the bahamas on Norwegian Sky. More tattoos than teeth.

Easy to get a room on deck 10, right under the pool. I found out why. Pool area turns in to a Latin disco from about noon - midnight. The booming subwoofer could wake dead people, and they would complain.

The show was good, a tribute to Vegas entertainers. We enjoyed it even though we got there at the last minute and took poor seats.

Nassau was - Nassau. Probably better off staying on the boat.

Stirrup Cay made up for Nassau twice over. We got the Cabana and had a great time. Service here is wonderful and the beach is clean and pretty.

Food service on the boat is average. Food quality is also average. We enjoyed Cagney's the most (party of 8). Sadly the bar service was lacking if you go off the menu (like don't ask for a martini).

I believe that the rest of the norwegian experience has to be better than this. Likely a budget crowd for the budget More cruise. We picked it as a quick weekend fling, it fit the dates best. Would have been better off staying on Key West or some all inclusive in Jamaica. Less

Cabin review: Norwegian Sky 00228

Cabin was OK, bed felt like a sofa-sleeper. Noise from the Pool deck above bad. Staff was nice and helpful, always had ice in the ice bucket and fresh towels as needed.
