Been cruising for a long time. Was on the Oceania Marina in April, visiting Tahiti.
But...this trip was just as wonderful!
The ship is the best we have ever been on. The layout is so great. There seems to be something to see on most floors. The Atrium area has so many events daily..just passing by allows you to watch something...music, dancing, magic and more.
The restaurants are terrific. Tropicana has a Latin theme and live music and dancing nightly. Savor and Taste restaurants are opposite each other, large but laid out in such a manner as to appear intimate, just lovely! All three are included in your fare, and all have the same menu each night.
Some of the delicious items featured were rack of lamb, Chateaubriand, lobster, escargots and more.
We did not try the specialty restaurants....there was no need.
The Garden Buffet was also good. The ship was full but we never had a problem finding a table. NCL always has poached eggs available on the buffet in the morning, we like that, no special ordering needed. Lunch was also good and diversified. The soft serve cone machine is in the cafe, not out on the pool deck, nice too.
Make your reservation for the listed shows as soon as you can. The box office is on deck 7, near the Getaway theater. For most you need a reservation. We saw Legally Blonde, Dueling Pianos and one of the Levity comedy shows. All well done. The show times are nice too, you can usually work dinner in before of after the show comfortably. Many have two showtimes in an evening, even nicer.
We watched other events in the Atrium.
Most cruise personnel are friendly. This ship is top of the line. Everyone is so nice, helpful and pleasant!
They make you feel truly welcome. The captain seems quite young and has a good sense of humor.
We had an inside cabin this trip. Beautifully laid out, not a bit uncomfortable (but miss the sunlight)!
With a little thought, found a place to put everything.
We stopped at three islands. Getting on and off was a breeze, they made everything easy.
We will return to this ship in a heartbeat....it was fabulous.
