We were on The Grand Princess January 27th - February 3rd, 2007 and here is my full review. This was our 7th cruise overall, 6th cruise out of Galveston and our 2nd time on The Grand Princess. We traveled in a very large group with 34 people. We had never traveled in a group that large before.

OVERALL: We had an EXCELLENT time on this cruise and I would highly recommend cruising on this boat before it leaves Galveston this Spring.

Embarkment: Easy. We come from Galveston so take a cab and get dropped off right at the pier. A porter takes your bags (I suggest tipping them well) and you are in the terminal quickly. We usually plan to be at the pier by 1:00 pm and are on the boat with a drink by 1:30 pm. I will say the weather in January and February can be flaky so you need to plan to be flexible in case it rains or gets cold at the last minute.
