We have cruised on CCL at least 6 or 7 times in the past 7 years. We don't have an allegiance to CCL though. We go for the best deal for us, so we have cruised on Norwegian, HAL, RCL, Celebrity, Princess and Disney. I'm telling you all of this just to show that we are experienced cruisers. We never have run up against such a problem as this aboard before.

We bought a last minute cabin upgrade and were looking forward to our first cruise in an Ocean Suite aboard the Carnival Liberty. Saturday, embarkation was easy and we had priority boarding and were one of the first to board.

Hit the Lido and had my first Guy Burger of the cruise (my goal was 1 a day - which I proudly made) and the usual sail away drink. Everything was starting to look like a good time was before us. About 2 pm we were allowed to go to our cabin. It was chilly so my wife turned the thermostat to the full warm position. We unpacked and left for the Lifeboat drill. When we returned to the room, it was much colder. But we were going to walk around the ship and didn't worry about it. Returning after dinner (your time dining), we notice that the room was exceptionally cool. However we didn't do anything about it.

Cabin Review

Cabin was fairly large with four big closets and many drawers and shelves. Except for the room being much too cold (and not being able to regulate the AC), the room and balcony were great. There was a cabin deck above and below our cabin so noise was minimal. We were just steps away from the elevators and thought that would be noisy. It wasn't. quiet reigned.Nice room, great room steward but the AC plagued us all week. I stuffed the inlet ducts with towels to cut the air flow and we were still cold. Steward notified and told us that all of the port side cabins on deck 7 were suffering the same malady. Propped the balcony door open to try and get some heat into the room.Cruise was just average and room was OK.
