Ok, so we have never cruised before but I have to say, this was an amazing trip. Several family and friends sailed the northward glacier route and the scenery was spectacular. Captain was able to maneuver the shop to about a mile to the Hubbard Glacier and it was breathtaking. Easy on and off at all the ports and we took advantage of kayaking, hiking and seeing the sights in every port.

The rooms were nicer than we expected (we had oceanview), and they were immaculate and the crew was super friendly and accommodating. Food in the main dining room was fantastic; not so at the buffet but it was definitely better than most buffets. We tended to have breakfast and lunch at the buffet and dinner in the main dining room. There is a huge window in the dining room that feels magical. We expected the ship to feel crowded, but it was not as there was always a place to sit and enjoy a drink and the view. We did spend a lot of time outside on deck.

One major complaint-- there is no way to communicate with other people in your group outside of the cabin phones. We spent more time than we would have liked searching for members of our party. There is a wifi insfrastructure already in place for people who want to use internet (we did not at the exhorbitant rates) so they could put in some kind of intranet texting service.
