This was our first time on Celebrity and the cruise was great. There were some minor annoyances, but in general the ship and staff and ports were all great. Weather was close to perfect and the seas were calm.

Our cabin was 6156 and it is on the back side of the first bumpout. It is a great cabin with a veranda that is over twice the size of a normal veranda. Really roomy and one could always find shade on it. The veranda is the same size as the ones above it, but it has a winch on one corner that really does not interfere with the view in any meaningful way. An added factor is that the veranda is quite private with no one else looking into it. Cabin and especially the bathroom were great. Only downside is a noisy pipe that would make occasional sounds, though never loud enough to wake someone.

We had select dining without reservations and we always ate with the same waitstaff at the time of our choice as long as it was before 7:30. After that, lines would build up. Food in the main was good, but the tables are really close together. I think this is only an issue with the port side select diners. It was so tight that people could not get out of their seats without others at other tables getting up. Tuscan Grille was really excellent. We ate there twice. The fee for special dining is too high and the Grille was never more than half full. Similarly we never saw more than one lawn alcove being used, even on sunny sea days. The business model that raised these prices is clearly wrong.
