My wife and I had previously cruised on Disney and Norwegian. Because Carnival was less expensive, our expectations were low. We were very pleasantly surprised. Not only was Carnival on par in many areas, it far exceeded our expectations and was superior in the fun department. No wonder people call it the fun ship.

Our cabin had a balcony. It was pretty standard and did not disappoint. The room was very similar to the ones in Norwegian and Disney. There was a single bathroom that combined the shower and toilet, unlike Disney, which had separate rooms for each.

Music broke out everywhere in the ship, from the casino to the main foyer to the sun deck. The rotating comedians operating under the George Lopez umbrella were hilarious. The late night shows aimed at adults only every night at 11:00 were the best. The entertainment shows were also world class. Divas, a high energy performance of songs by Beyonce, Madonna, Prince, Rihanna, and more was one favorite. The older group preferred the similar Motown performance. Latin nights was another top notch show.
