Ship Facts: Ryndam Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Ryndam Deck Plans
Excellent ship & service by MS Ryndham

We had prebooked our cabin who advised us correctly about the choice. The cabin was spacious and the whole ship was being kept clean constantly without being obtrusive or bothersome.

Really impressed by the sort of service we received from the cabin crew who were willing to do anything at all times.

As for the food-so much variety and so well prepared by chief chef Eric. Everyone on board really appreciated his cooking & there was ample variety & often with high teas & late night suppers if one still needed to eat more!!

The entertainment by the Ryndham singers and dancers was really professional. Others were OK.

After booking we had doubts if we should have gone for a larger ship; but on talking to other cruisers, we found out that a larger ship had just more cabins but the same type of entertainment and facilities except a bigger theatre and cinema. This particular ship would suit mostly adults though there were a couple of families since there was a special package for them being offered at the last stage.

The library is very well stocked but there is no free internet cafe/facility and it is very expensive to connect on the internet which is a shame. That is the case with the telephone as well since the mobile phones do not work whilst at sea; only on reaching the shores/ports.

Norway was awesome and the shore excursions are definitely cheaper on the shore rather than booking on the ship.

Holland America really take care of their guests and keep giving incentives and discounts so that one is tempted to stick with the same cruise line since they appreciate their guests.

We found many loyal cruisers who use this shipping line most of the time. This 20 yr old cruise liner is very well kept and did not show it's age at all.

The captain sailed so smoothly that many times we were not aware we were at sea !! The beds are ultra comfortable and the mattress is about a foot high!! Lovely soft bed linen too. They have an ingenious way to store the empty luggage under the bed, so that it is neatly tucked away from sight.

Bathroom is kept spotlessly clean at all times.

Only sad part is there are no complimentary bottled water supplied in the cabins; but even so we can fill up our bottles in the ship's restaurant at all times. The crew are always obliging and so it is a pleasure to pay the compulsory tip at the end of the cruise when requested by the cruise liner.

All in all Holland America run a very good ship and treat their staff well since we can see them smiling and being happy and spreading their cheer to the guests as well.

So do not hesitate to book a cruise on MS Ryndham anytime.
