It's true to say that this ship doesn't have all the bells and whistles or the wow factor that the newer ships have but we found her to be charming and far more personal. We don't want to ice skate or rock climb anyway so it's no big deal. If you went searching for faults you could find them, but that's not what we go on holiday for. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our cabin was spacious and we were expertly looked after by our cabin steward and butler.

The food in the main dining room was consistently excellent and the service from both the waiters and wine waiters was efficient and always friendly - nothing was too much trouble and if you wanted to try an extra dish that was fine too. We had the drinks package and I had thought that wine at dinner would be one glass and then never see the wine waiter again, but that couldn't be further from the truth. My wine glass was re-filled regularly without me having to ask for it. The food exceeded our expectations after having cruised with Royal Caribbean last year and having thought the food lacking; this was so much better.

We ate at Murano's one lunchtime at $25 per head. It was nice enough but I found the food in the Grand Restaurant to be equally as good so would save my cash next time. Maybe it was a bit more special for dinner?

Cabin Review

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of storage and personal space. Clean and very well kept by the cabin steward. Ask for cushions for the loungers on the balcony.
