The cruise was awesome overall, and of course there there always will be something that people will complain about, especially as spoiled as we are in the US with high expectations of outstanding customer service. Yes, European's are a little different and be prepared to get no more or no less for what you pay for! If you want a nice balcony cabin, pay for one at the time of booking as there will be no "special accommodations or free upgrades" on board.

The ship was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL and VERY VERY CLEAN!!! Employees really take great care of the ship non-stop day or night. Everyone was friendly for the most part except for a few few that probably hate their job and waiting for their contract to be over. Keep in mind all the staff is hired from over seas and only make between $900-$1200 a month for working 7 days a week 10-12 hr shifts sometimes - it's not easy!!! The Entertainment and Food was excellent with a great variety and trust me you will never be hungry or bored on this MSC Divina! I personally read a lot of reviews before booking this cruise for our honeymoon and as you noticed 2.7 out 5 is not a good sign on Expedia for example, but we came back way more than satisfied!!! Overall it's a great cruise especially for the low price compare to other cruise lines. The reason for low pricing has a purpose of letting people to get to know MSC and gain american business as their cruise line is fairly fresh on the US market. But I'm sure low pricing will not last forever, so if you thinking to book a cruise with them, don't take too long, we liked it way better than Carnival and Royal Caribbean! The drink prices are very reasonable, we purchased a coupon book on the first day for 15 drinks that you can use at any bar on the ship including the main dining room, it was $82 witch was a good deal.

Ports of call were very nice except for Falmouth, Jamaica - not the best place! Please book an excursion there and don't try to explore on your own, it is a not a very safe place, we took a shuttle to Montego Bay and there is really not much to do, the only thing they have is a MargaritaVille for tourist and nothing else. Ochos RIos is a much better port with much more sight seeing...
