New Orleans to Memphis

Sail Date: May 2014
Destination: USA
Embarkation: New Orleans

This was my seventh cruise with American Cruise Lines and my first aboard the Queen of the Mississippi.

This cruise was exceptional. The food was well planned, presented and varied. The option of half portions was not only economical in limiting food waste but also saved the waistline! The jazz entertainment feature of this cruise was not only educational and varied, but also joyfully entertaining. The shore excursions were informative, educational and well narrated by the guides. Service, whether it be caring for the cabin, dining, or inquiries of the staff was always handled in a pleasant manner by staff that made you feel as though they really cared that your trip was carefree and comfortable.

The cabin was neat and clean and kept that way on a daily basis by staff. There was plenty of drawer space for clothing. The balcony was also kept clean and free of cobwebs. The bathroom was cleaned on a daily basis using a Clorox based product giving me a sense of their More efforts to eliminate the possibility of contaminants and viruses. I appreciated the large bottle of hand sanitizer by the bathroom sink.

Both embarkation and disembarkation were well handled. Upon leaving for the airport the cab was there on time. Less
