Unfortunately, can't say much in favor of majesty. She's old and tired but the problem is more about the atmosphere which is VERY ho hum. I've been on NCL sky 3x, carnival imagination 3x, which were much more festive. I'm not looking for the ULTRA party spring break scene whatsoever but I'm not looking to sit in a rocking chair either. Service = average. Cabins =TINY. The shower and sink drains gurgled loudly, frequently, and emitted a sewer gas smell. The water pressure for sink /shower was VERY weak and hot water takes a minute or two before you get it. Quiet cabins. Saturday was a washout and could not visit their island but weather is, of course, beyond their control. However, it exposed the weaknesses that ARE under their control. Very boring activities throughout. They have a sales event midship where they attempt to create a buying frenzy among the passengers for cheap, low quality goods. Went to see a movie at chorus line theatre and the picture quality was terrible, very grainy. The saturday night "white" party was a flop. Sunday's weather cooperated beautifully but could not fix the underlying blahness of this cruise ship. Comedy shows were good. The food was overall good and the dining staff did a great job. I found drink and beer prices reasonable. Typical carribean music, lots of mellow 80's, and LOTS of old staples like cupid shuffle, macarrena, etc., ALL day. If you are looking for top 40 tracks, bring your ipod. We got the cheapest fare ever, but spoke with many fellow cruisers who paid several hundred dollars more than us so we just got lucky. Since I've been on other ships that are similar in size, itinerary, and age, I can tell you this: If you would like a relatively uneventful, boring, yet relaxing cruise, with VERY little in the way of bells and whistles, sail the majesty who lost her crown a long time ago.
