The first disappointing part of the cruise is that it is advertised as being 11 days but you are only on the river for 7 days. I should have read the itinerary more closely. It was a real nuisance to get off the boat for one night in Bucharest. I suggest you have a very close look at the itinerary before booking

I had been on a Viking cruise in the Ukraine which was wonderful in most ways except that the ship did not have any cabins with balconies. On the Eastern European cruise we booked a class A cabin with a full balcony. However, one problem was that we were often berthed right next to another ship which meant no view from the balcony.

The food was disappointing, particularly after the wonderful food on the Ukraine cruise. As well many of the waiters were young males who acted as if the job was beneath them. We were two women travelling together and my friend was particularly annoyed at the way couples got much better service than two women.
