I was really looking forward to this cruise- celebrating graduating from nursing school, introducing family members to cruising and just getting away.

I'll start with the good- the refurbished centrum is beautiful and I really think the cruise benefits from having activities and shows there. The "R Bar" is billed as a champagne bar but had no sparkling wines or Prosecco.

The beds were comfy and room service allows for full breakfast, unlike Majesty. That's really nice to have. Drinks were reasonably priced and well poured. Dining staff were just great fun. Smiles and really went out of their way to make you happy. Adding a Broadway style show really helped change up the entertainment rather than just the standard tired 70's show and music. That needs to either be updated or removed from all cruises. I've cruised RC for 10 years and the Boogie Nights show is always the same. Yawn. Unfortunately, the singing wasn't top notch. The comedian was hilarious. Room service was always on time and cabin attendant was top notch. Another plus, the crew altered the scheduled activities on the last day because of not great weather and rough seas. That was good of them to do so.

Cabin Review

Room was clean- Bathroom refurbished but sleeping area not. Wood trim around room was blemished- and it was obvious from the mismatched metal trim - silver in bathroom, gold in living area - the entire cabin wasn't renovated. Cabinet space in bathroom was ample with shelves to the left of the mirror, drawer below that, and a cabinet below that. Beds were newer and comfortable. Slept very well. No big dips in the beds that would indicate they were old. Closet no longer has metal shelves to store clothes but does have a second hanging rod for pants to hang. RC no longer provides bodywash/ shampoo- instead they give a standard "hotel" size soap bar. Room comes with hairdryer but no refrigerator. Window is large with blackout curtains. Sofa with small wooden (instead of previous metal/glass) table- takes up less space that previous types. Two side tables/drawers beside bed.
