We have been on both the Magic and the Wonder back when they were new. We haven't cruised in many years, but we decided to take the kids on a great cruise. The ship is Gorgeous! We love all things Disney, so it does fit our likes.
Embarkation was easy and quick.
The food was "good" but not exceptional (didn't go to Palo or Remy).
Animators Palate restaurant was a really nice show - they have two shows, so it's different both nights for you. Crush interaction and an animated show. Great improvement over the originals.
Service was great.
The kid's club was PERFECT. We have 10 and 6 year old boys, they loved it.
There is more adult only area compared to the "Classic" ships, but we felt the overall public areas were about the same size as the Classic ships, but there are so many more people, we felt it a bit crowded. (probably our only complaint.)
Excursions were well managed.
AQUADUCK - Super fun!
Shows were pretty good. Aladin was great, but the other shows seemed to be a marketing tool to me. We saw "Buckets and Boards" - LOVED THEM! (Look them up.)
Pirate Night was totally fun and worth it! I mean FIreworks on a ship? Yes please!
Much improved adult lounges over Classic ships, had a lot of fun.
Inside cabin just because DCL is so expensive. The virtual porthole was really nice, but not the same as natural sunlight.
I would give them 8 out of 10. I am being really critical here. We would go love to do it again.
