Ship Facts: Celebrity Summit Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Summit Deck Plans
Summit delivers as usual

33rd cruise for us, 3rd time on the Summit. Couple in our late 50's and we booked this cruise since it's less than 2 hours from our home.

Cape Liberty port is a little haphazard due to the construction but all went well; arrived at 11am and was on the ship in 20 minutes. Usually we book veranda/balcony but the small price difference put us in Aqua Class. Well worth the couple of dollars extra starting with the priority booking and the exclusive use of the Blu Restaurant.

Ship is still clean and well appointed after all these years but of course not as loaded with the gimmicks the newest ships have. Ate at Normandie once since it was offered at 1/2 price but not good enough to pay the full $45.00 pp. We dined every morning and evening at Blu. No reservations ever and never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated. This made the entire cruise dining experience pleasurable.

State room 9108 is typically sized with nicer shower controls and bathroom amenities. Deck 9 Aqua has a large overhang so don't expect to lay in the sun, but very useful if raining. We asked the cabin steward for cheese tray delivery instead of canapés and he happily obliged. Tea and water was daily replenished without asking. Excellent service by the attendant.

Not a lot to do on board but we weren't looking to do much anyway. There was an obvious drop in the quality of the evening entertainment which disappointed us which quite frankly was the only negative on the entire voyage.

Bermuda is not a must see destination. A very antiseptic island lacking the charm and vibe of the Caribbean and Mexico. Very clean and very safe to go but do not expect to be wow'ed. We purchased a 3 day public transit pass with we used extensively making the island very assessable. Don't expect to find any pink sand. Bermuda has done a great job of marketing this nonexistent tourist attraction and save your money going to the crystal caves; $22.00pp was a waste.

All in all is was a great cruise on a typically great Celebrity ship. For the price and port location it is well worth it.
