We boarded the Grandeur on April 19th, with some in trepidation as the previous cruise or two had both been subject to an outbreak of Norovirus. Although we didn't get an email to advise this, we were aware from various new articles that the Norovirus had affected over a hundred passengers on each cruise. However, this was not going to spoil our holiday. Just extra precautions needed and a packet of anti bacterial wipes to give the cabin a deep clean before sailing.
Sadly, it appeared that the previous occupants of our cabin had indeed had Norovirus and were contained in their cabin for some time. We found this out due to the fact that an apology letter addressed to these previous occupants had been left in our cabin on our arrival. In fact, not just one letter, but two! Both letters were very courteously written from the guest services manager on board, but as you can imagine, this is not what you want to be greeted with on arrival in your cabin.
