Just came back from our cruise and will never cruise NCL again. First we didn't get on the ship until 1:30PM due to port problems. Then our luggage was lost until 9:30PM that night. Then we went to diner in the Aqua. We arrived at 5:30PM and didn't get out of the restaurant until 8:00PM. We sat down right away and was taken our selection we wanted. Then we waited and waited. Finally we got our salads and rolls. Then we waited and waited for our food to come out of the kitchen. When that arrived it was cold and not cooked they way we wanted it. We never got dessert or coffee. We were told that it was a new menu and the kitchen wasn't use to it. The following night we tried the Venetian and that was worst. We finally talked to the maître de and he met us at the Aqua the following night and he made sure the meal came out on time and cooked right. The following night it was the same thing all over again. We were finally told from a waiter that NCL had taken many waiters from the ship and sent them to the Breakaway in New York leaving the ship short of waiters and taking buss boys and making them waiters. It wasn't the waiters fault he was just learning and trying real hard.
Then it came to our cabin steward and they were short as well for workers. Our room didn't get cleaned until the afternoon and the room didn't get turned down for the night until 9:00 PM. Our room was very nice and you couldn't ask for a nicer steward.
We had a great time in Bermuda. The port is great. The casino did open up at 9:00 PM when in port for the first time in history we were told. Some of the shows were great. We have cruised many years and have never come across this. Hope NCL gets it act together but we will never cruise with them again.
The port is great. You can take the bus or the ferry to Hamilton or St. George. Suggest taking the ferry it is a shorter trip then you can pick up the bus in Hamilton if you want to go to the Crystal Caves, aquarium or other destinations. The ferry to St George's is the way to go. Nice quaint town.
