Sail Date: May 2014

This was my 5th and best experience to date on NCL. I had put in for vacation time and was planning a trip to France but unfortunately my plans fell through. I booked this trip with a friend as a last minute consolation. We were called that Sunday morning and informed that the departure time was delayed and used the extra time to have a leisurely lunch in NYC.

We arrived at the pier and waited on a long line which moved quickly, to check in. The ship is everything it's cracked out to be: nicely designed and comfortable. Although it's the largest ship I've been on, it did not feel too large or overwhelming. There were plenty of elevators and the flow of traffic on board was never a problem.

Our balcony room was nicely appointed. There is plenty of storage. The new rooms are updated and more contemporary. There is a flat screen tv, coffee maker and small fridge.

Cabin Review

Large stateroom with 2 twin beds. Storage space is generous. Flat screen tv and coffee maker a plus. Small refrigerator nice for keeping milk for coffee and fruit for snacks. The balcony was large enough for 2 chairs and a table. The room appeared to be quite soundproof; we never heard a sound from any of the adjoining cabins. Loved the new decor and color scheme too.
