Was told that Celebrity was a First class cruise line - let me tell you this one(Millennium) was definitely Third class - dingy, dirty, boring. Maybe the worst of the Celebrity fleet?
So many nationalities manning the buffet it was so difficult to communicate with them. As for the dining - quality of food ranged from good to mediocre - ordered fish last night on board & you could smell it was "off" before it hit the table. Not much in way of fun entertainment. Movies & even the on board singers etc. were not a good look. Some of the major acts were very good though. Library was supposed to be open 24hours every day, but closed on majority of days & I was looking forward to some serious reading.
We basically took cruise rather than a land tour holiday hoping it would be easier on our bodies. It was, the land content was quite good, but sadly the ship was a major disappointment. Many others we talked with were also upset with quality of the ship, food etc. More Really this ship needs to be confined to the scrap heap.
Is the quality of the food, entertainment & ship determined by where it is cruising to? Friends of ours did the Caribbean on Celebrity Silhouette around same time & said it was just a lovely ship, food & entertainment great. What happened to Celebrity Millennium?
I would advise those entertaining thought of doing Asia by cruising, look at other alternative ships/cruise lines. Less

our room was in a nice spot. It was just close to & far enough from main areas of passengers, lifts, stairs etc. Originally ordered twin beds, but told on day of embarkation that is was impossible to do so because of layout of room. Room Staff were very attentive & pleasant. Room generally was OK, but out dated, since the ship itself was so old.
