The Carnival Paradise was a very good cruise. It is an older ship and shows a little age. This one is smaller than what we usually sail on and I think we will go back to the larger ships. The staff was excellent! The food was good, but not at the level we had on other ships. There are 2 dining rooms. We were assigned the one mid-ship which was convenient. The "show" from the wait staff was okay...but not to the extent we loved on other ships. That participation in the dining rooms makes it special and fun night. So a little let down since they only did a little singing one evening. Perhpas there was more and we missed it. The dining room wait staff was the best! Loved them. Our room steward was amazing. Wish that we had them on every cruise we go on. The room was a surprise. Larger or at least arranged better than in other ships. 3 of us did very well in room and interior room U-96. Plenty of storage and space to move around for the short time we were in the rooms. Bedding was very good and comfy. No odors, clean room and great towels. They no longer provided razors, conditioner etc. So pack them if you need them. The soft drink card is worth it. We rarely order the pricey alcoholic drinks. That can add a lot to your bill. And the Bingo was only 1 game winner each time. So that is $20 per Bingo Game or $25 per card with a couple of lottery type match cards. We stayed pretty busy, but felt this 5 day cruise gave us fewer options for the entertainment. Simply because it is a shorter cruise time. We are going back to the larger ships and longer itineraries. But for the money we paid......it was a great vacation and the staff is the very best to be found.

Cabin Review

Cabin was exceptional for this category. Roomy enough. Comfy beds. The TV......well that could use the upgrades. The corner has a light with the TV up on the wall and the base below has life jackets. The TV is older and the light in the corner looked useless to us. Perhaps they have a use.....not sure what it was. Bath was plenty big. Good storage areas is you stow your luggage under your bed. We even had a mobility scooter in our room and had 3 people.
