This was our third cruise with Carnival and probably our best, most relaxing yet. Of course we read the negative reviews here but absolutely nothing we read did we experience. People like to complain. We found there were more things to do than we had time for.

We took the train from Albany into Penn Station, grabbed a cab and we at the pier within 10 minutes. This is a good way to go as you don't have the parking charges, tolls or hassle of driving into the city. The embarkation on Pier 90 was the smoothest and quickest we had yet encountered which was odd given the small space for drop off but we were through in minutes and it was not long before we were in our cabin and our luggage was outside our door within an hour.

Due to the severe winter we had in the northeast, there was a huge amount of pent up energy and this was a crowd that came ready for a good time!! The group was mostly from NY, NJ and the New England States but there were many French Canadians as well as people from all over the world. We met more interesting people on this trip than on all our previous cruises. There were many folks cruising alone as Carnival had recently eliminated the single supplement. There was a lot of fun on this fun ship!!

Cabin Review

This was our second cruise on the 9th floor balcony and we will not go anywhere else. It is very quiet as there are not many rooms on the floor, perfectly located to get anywhere with minimal use of stairs or elevators and easy to get to the pools and food.
