Sail Date: Apr 2014

This was my 65th birthday present. I sailed with my partner who is 58. First impressions - fellow passengers had a much older age profile than we have found on other lines. A lot had mobility issues, I was amazed at the number of mobility scooters. The ship is well appointed with plenty of bars and public spaces. It never felt crowded even on sea days. On our other cruise in the Caribbean we had struggled to get sunbeds but on this cruise large areas of the sundecks were unused. This may be due to the age of the passengers or the fact that the majority of them seemed to live in Florida so the sunshine was no novelty. Being British we grabbed every moment in the sun.

We had anytime dining and it is always a pleasure to spend a couple of hours with different groups of people. There was always a good choice of food and we were not hurried. We liked the fact that the dress code was rigorously enforced - on several occasions we heard the front desk staff politely turn people away and advise them that they were not properly dressed.

We didn't like the fact that the hand cleansing routine was not rigorously enforced, lots of people walked into the restaurants and just ignored the dispensers.

Cabin Review

The cabin was a reasonable size with comfortable beds. Cabin steward as always very attentive and as I am a light sleeper I was thankful that there was noise from other cabins or the outside corridor.
