Sail Date: Apr 2014

It was just the two of us; my boyfriend and I on the first of three vacations we take every year. This one was 04/20 - 26/2014) and we decided to try the Epic for the first time for this seven day vacatiion. The ship is rather beautiful, and we love that you don't feel the amount of people that's really on it at all. Once embarkation starts, guests are allowed to go straight to their cabins, we love that. I like to unpack and get things put away well before it's time for the drill, and he goes and make spa reservations, purchase bottled water for our stay etc., we always get a balcony cabin, but this is our first time being in one like this. Guests are not notified in advance of the engineer washing your cabin glass doors, which leaves the balcony with about 2 inches of water that can only be evaporated by the sun. The food is good in the buffet styled dinning, which we usually don't do but we thought we'd give it a go and loved it, all 7 days. The food at the Asain restaurant serving sizes are that of the French, VERY SMALL. The Brazilian restaurant really don't want to start serving the meats at all, they were thought to be procrastinating so someone took them to task (if you will), about it, "boy was that funny!" You'll enjoy the deparcation party on the gangway too, a show not to be missed. Spills are left too long, I feel for guests on walkers etc., so do be ware. Oh ladies, DO bring your sexy little white dress for the "Hot White Night Dance," I did, lots of fun! All-in-all, we enjoyed this cruise, and if the price is right the way it was this time, agreed, we'd do it again! So GO, you're gonna love it!

Cabin Review

Cruve shap takes away from much needed available space in the cabin. If something different was the motivating factor in designing the cabins, then might I suggest placing the sink with the shower on one side and the tolit on the other. Curved bed is fine, but cruve in wall behind the coach/twin bed is not. The carpet is light and shows dark stains, ship needs to be placed in dry-dock JUST to replace it, in every balcony cabin.
