This was our first ever cruise. We are a family of four, and had the pleasure of a 7-night Disney Cruise in one of the two Royal Suites. Not knowing what to expect, we may not have taken full advantage of what the suite had to offer.

The service was over-the-top incredible. The concierges were all wonderful. We can still remember Andy and PJ and how magical they both made the trip for our children. Kids were 6 and 5 at the time, which was a great age for the trip.

Embarkation went off without a hitch. We got on quickly and easily, but I guess that comes with the concierge level. We were also traveling with my parents and they were not in concierge, but allowed to board with us. They took us straight up to the concierge level, but we were told that the lounge was full and that we'd have to go to the buffet at the front of the ship for some food (a bit of a bummer).

Cabin Review

1. Room appeared very clean and fresh. Our stateroom attendant took the time every day to clean the kitchen area and make sure that everything was perfect. He even spent an hour one afternoon teaching my little girl how to make towel art animals.2. A few things were not working correctly. One of the cabinets kept coming open as the ship tossed. Their solution was duct tape. Not the best answer, but it worked I suppose, even if it didn't look great.3. The wine fridge in the room was fantastic. We took advantage of it several times and never once got charged for anything in it. I'm not sure if this is SOP, but it was very nice.4. We used the high speed Internet several times. They told us it would be comped for our stateroom, and it was.5. The deck was absolutely astonishing. On the last evening, we were sailing away into the sunset from Castaway Cay. Everyone on the ship was up on deck 13 admiring the beautiful view. It was great to be able to relax in the stateroom with my family and a glass of wine and still get to enjoy the beautiful view.6. The hot tub on the deck was only so-so. This could have been the highlight of the room, but unfortunately, ours was broken. They spent the better part of the afternoon "fixing" it, but it was always lukewarm and never got hot. It also kept pulsing on and off all day, but was off at night, so we didn't mind. The kids enjoyed it, but for the money we paid, I would have expected a working hot tub.7. Having two restrooms was very nice when we had the whole family over.8. Palo. In. Room. Wow. We ate such good food. They kept bringing it to us and it was fabulous. Worth the price of the suite.
