This was our first cruise for our family. Other family members have been on cruises and told us they had a lot of fun. We left out of Baltimore which was painless. Easy to find the port, easy to drop your bags, easy to get on the boat. Only complaint was the 100 dollar parking fee for the week, seemed a bit steep. Getting on the boat was done very well, we waited around for about an hour in the mermaid grill waiting for our room to be ready. We walked downstairs, our room was ready to go, bags sitting outside the door.

The boat was aged, and you could clearly tell some of it has seen better days. They were constantly working on the pools, the hot tubs rarely worked correctly, and the water slide was only in operation 2 out of the 7 days.

The food was merely ok. If you are on the boat my suggestion is skip the normande and just eat at the buffets. The hamburgers, fries, hot cheese and chili were my go to foods the whole cruise. On Lobster tail night the lobster tails tasted like they were microwaved.
