We flew into Miami Airport(a dump) on Saturday the 6th. Stayed near the airport at the Marriott Suites and caught a shuttle in the morning to the port. Embarkation was fairly quick in the Latitudes line and we got on board without incident. We had a mini-suite on the 11th deck which ended up being great since the pool deck and buffet were close. First day was at sea and it rained so we had a quiet day. Second day was San Juan, which we only had 5 hrs at so we just walked around the old San Juan, enjoyed the forts and Sr.Frogs. It was too short of a stop since we didn't get there til noon and had to be back on by 4:30. Wed. was Antigua and we caught an all-day catamaran, snorkel trip right on the dock and paid them direct which we found saved us about $20 per person than if we had booked it through the excursions desk. The lunch and crew were fun but the snorkeling was murky and not worth it. Better to just play on the beach and enjoy the warm water. Thursday was St. Johns which we caught a taxi over to Sapphire Bay. Snorkeling there was good, the beach was beautiful and worth the ride. Friday was another sea day, which it rained again and Saturday at Great Stirrup Cay was cancelled because the sea was too rough to run the tenders. I don't know what cruise several people were on that were supposed to be on this one that went to the Cay? Like newtocruising18 said, we just circled out in the ocean all day. Just to find a place to sit outside we had to go up by the sports deck and all the chairs up there were ripped and broken. For us it was too many days at sea with too many people on the ship. You could not ever find a seat by the pool, although the lounge chairs would be half empty, they were all saved.

We ate at Cagneys and Le Bistro, but found these restaurants were not worth the extra money. Unlike our previous experience on the Norwegian Sun where Le Bistro was fabulous and we went back twice. The food and service at the specialty restaurants were just okay. In fact we only found one waitress during the whole cruise that truly gave us great service and this was in one of the free restaurants. We never had trouble getting seating in any of the free restaurants and their food was actually very good. Surprisingly we liked the buffet almost the best and we normally would not do buffets. The freshly made stir fry was awesome. They really need to work with their Wait staff to get them up to par, they just didn't seem to have a clue and it seemed like everyone was in training and had never been a waiter before. We felt like we were always having to ask for more water or coffee or really basic things and then wait a long time to actually get them. Also, when buying mixed drinks order from the bartender direct if you can, we got much better drinks than when the waiters brought them.

Luckily we were with the moe. cruise so our shows were excellent, couldn't have asked for anything better. We also attended the ships's magic show which was okay and the Cirque Bijou which was good but short. There was also a Filipino band that played at the pool one day that were very entertaining.
