Completed a 9-night cruise aboard the Explorer with a total of 13 family members raining from 70+ to 9 years old during Easter break. We have taken other RC cruises and are Anchor members but this has to be one of the poorest experiences we have encountered at the highest prices we have ever paid.

It started with the emergency drill with outdoor muster stations - in the cold. Usually they set muster stations on various inside locations so obviously nobody was prepared to stand outside for almost 45 mins in the cold. As a general point, remember that the ship cruises along at about 25 knots (about 20 mph) so two days going and two days coming we're just about lost as it was too cold and windy to do any outside activities.

The ship is rundown and desperately needs to be refurbished. As you walk around the ship you can clearly see that paint is faded, wood trim is peeling and that it's just old. The interior is in much better condition than the exterior but still dated.

Cabin Review

Smallest cabin we've ever had on a cruise
