We recently completed our Danube River cruise from Budapest to Passau on the river Beatrice.
As we observed on our trip, there are many competitors to Uniworld that ply the same waterways. Certainly these cruise lines all travel the same route, stop at many of the same cities, and share some of the same guides. This became a topic of conversation with some of the many friends that we made. The veteran cruisers on our ship, who had traveled on both large and small ships, all noted the quality of the service and friendliness from the staff and crew exhibited on the River Beatrice. In terms of the dining experience, the breakfasts were sumptuous, the lunches offered regional favorites, and the dinners were truly 5-star cuisine.
The exceptional service ranged from Cruise Manager Markus, who always provided great regional insight and good humor, Hotel Manager Carmen, who ensured that food and drink services were up to high standards, and the very amicable Captain Smit. While all of the staff was great, servers such as Anna and Boyana, served you with professionalism and a smile.
