I will make this short.  We cruised on this ship back on 12/27/1999 and brought in the new year - She was a Grand ship back then. Today she is tired and creaks and groans some like most of us older people, LOL.

Since 1999 the ships have gotten bigger and better - The closets on the Grand are smaller than the newer ships and the Grand has been redone at least once since 1998. We did not have any real issues except for the creaks, squeaks and groans of the walls and ceilings. Other passangers had minor issue up to two cabins that flooded from laundry and bathrooms and this was a FULL ship, you do the math. One thing I did learn on this cruise - The Grand has cabins with NO night stands and several cabins have hanging bunks for two other people - this would not be an issue IF YOU had 3 or 4 people in your cabin - we had two friends that were just two in their party and Booked right with Princess - they were given a room with two bunks hanging on the walls - the did NOT like this when they walked into their room and were told FULL ship NO moving... well after four days at sea and after the first port, they got a room???? then that room got flooded from hall way bath - just a stroke of bad luck.

Bottom line,,, older ship and shows her age a little - still would Not refuse to ride her again - just the cruise would have to be special AND I would really check my room on line.. BTW - NO way to tell on line if your room is for 2 or 4 UNLESS you use the computer and put in 4 then search your room,, if it shows OPEN... it has bunk beds.... just do your homework.
