Ship Facts: MSC Fantasia Review (by Cruise Critic!) | MSC Fantasia Deck Plans
MSC Fantasia Never again

I do not recommend the MSC Fantasia for the following reasons. Firstly, since there is no tap water available, other than in the main buffet area, you are obliged to buy bottles of water, which over 7 days certainly adds up. The drinks packages are very expensive too and you have to drink an awful lot in order for it to be cost effective. Secondly, the food was sub standard. Fries, hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza and generally unhealthy food were served every day at lunch time and it didn't even taste nice. To make matters worse, I was made to feel embarrassed when I asked for another portion of turkey! Portions at dinner time were very small too and often the food was inedible. Thirdly, the buffet lunch area was like a circus with everyone pushing and shoving and fighting over the limited seating area. Fourthly, with regards to the first seating allocation, doors were closed at the restaurant shortly after dinner started and if you didn't get there on time, too bad as there was no room in the second sitting. First sitting guests were hurried out in order to accommodate second sitting guests.

In general, staff was not friendly and the level of English was very poor, making communication very difficult at times. I found the hairdressers to be rude and they kept me waiting 45 minutes even though I had made an appointment.

We will never travel on MSC cruises again.
