Ship Facts: Carnival Glory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Glory Deck Plans
Many good things but many things coud be improved

Going to keep this short and sweet

Good things:

Clean ship

Steakhouse food was very good

Great coffee at the coffee bar

Everson is a good CD

Antonio our waiter is great!

Chocolate melting cake

Towel animals every night and chocolates

Love the Serenity area. Open air and truly nice. Great area.

Grand Turk is a great port layout.

Burrito and taco bar was very very good

Menu was fine. Added back some of the items folks were upset about that were removed

Tables are fine without a tablecloth- looked nice and love the large water carafe on the table

All of the staff seemed very friendly

Comedy shows were funny and easy to get into

Areas to improve:

Buffet is poorly arranged so long lines- break it up people

Embarkation in Miami took a while. Was Easter so may have been short staffed

Long lines at customer service- add folks to speed it up during high volumes

Repetitive menu items throughout the week

Nassau again! Bout time to pick somewhere else to stop folks. At least time there was short

Need more gangways open to disembark and embark in ports

Buffets were closed at off times so food was slim during those times. Not a biggee just keep that in mind

Photo stations on main promenade led to backups in traffic flow as folks waiting for photos blocked others who were trying to walk the main thoroughfare

Casino was stingy! Boo hoo for me!

Only one outlet. Need more.

OK so this will seem out there but the doors on this ship slam. Either we were on the ship with a bunch of people with no manners or maybe they need something to keep the doors from shutting so the whole floor reverberates.

Quick word on ports:

St Thomas- we went to Coki Beach. Overcrowded. Would not do this again. Prefer St. Johns Trunk Bay. Did a shore dive off the beach and it was fun. Good coral and fish.

San Juan PR- Did the 2 hour Segway Tour with Jose. Awesome fun and he was very knowledgeable.

Grand Turk- Jack's Shack. Free internet, free chairs, puppy dogs to play with. Snorkeled off the beach found sand dollars and also picked up conch shells that had been cleaned out. Love this port.

Debarkation- fast but hate that the luggage comes out on a luggage carousel. Sorta weird. Cab to the airport was fast.

Overall good time for the price we paid for this cruise. Had balcony 8202 first cabin from the bridge. Quiet on one side, but the constant door slamming on the other side was annoying as heck. Balcony was peaceful. Great storage. Needs more outlets. Slow drain in the shower but not a biggee. Love love love that Carnival shows prime time tv in the cabin. Could chill at night and watch our shows if we wanted to.
