This is the second cruise I have taken and my husband’s first. He did not think cruises would appeal to him, but I had such a wonderful time on my first cruise (with Carnival) that when some family members told us they were booking this cruise, and others- friends and family, recommended Royal Caribbean, and despite some negative comments posted on Cruise Critic, I convinced him to give cruising a try instead of flying to an island for an Easter vacation. I booked a junior suite just so we would have a little larger stateroom (junior suite 8548,) and I knew a balcony was a must.

We eagerly anticipated this vacation… did not even become overly concerned when we heard and read reports of an outbreak of norovirus on two recent back to back cruises. We knew RC was taking more time in port for maintenance, to clean and sanitize the ship so we were confident we would be on the cleanest ship on the ocean!

Only one big gripe:

Cabin Review

The junior suite was comfortable and roomy; lots of storage, nice size bathroom. The balcony was a nice size but dirty. I would have preferred the maintenance crew to clean it instead of interrupting our cruise to do some painting of the rust spots, and leaving the furniture in the living area of the suite while they did...all without informing us this was being done, but overall good service and pleasant, professional crew.
