This is not my first cruise, but it will definitely be the most memorable, because it was so awful. Embarkation went well, then went to the cabin. Night #1 - Seas were rough and this ship apparently doesn't have the stabilizers that the newer ships have, and it was a miserable night of sea sickness. The ship was rocking so badly that my water slid off the bedside table on to the floor. To add insult to injury, the cabin was next to the crew doors so all night long we heard and felt the doors slamming. Almost no sleep nights 1 & 2. Went to guest services and explained the situation and was moved to a different cabin on the same deck. After moving everything to cabin #2, we went to dinner. After returning to cabin about 2 hours later, there were several RC employees standing in the hallway in front of our cabin looking bewildered. They explained that the room that we had just moved to 2 hours previously, was flooded, apparently from the room next door, and we would have to change cabins again. The only available cabin was next door and the closet was wet in that cabin also, but it wasn't as bad as cabin #2, so we moved everything again to cabin #3. Then starting about 2 am we heard, what sounded like someone banging on a pipe with a hammer and then a grinding noise. At 6 am, I stormed to guest services to explain to the same person I'd talked to before about the current situation. She said the best she could do was offer $100.00 on board credit or 25% off our next cruise. We accepted the credit since we have no intention of sailing RC again. Very little sleep on nights 3 & 4 due to noise from some type of banging.

Food was horrible in the Windjammer & on at Park Place on the pool deck. Same exact thing every day, was never hot and tasted like it came in frozen and was warmed up in the microwave. Very disappointing. We ate mostly fruit and desserts because they were the only things that tasted descent. Even the food at dinner in the My Fair Lady dining room was poor quality. We were VERY disappointed. The shows, activities and shore excursions were good, but the cabin & food were just horrible.

This ship is listed as having an overhaul in 2011, but I didn't see anything that looked overhauled at all. Dents in the cabin doors, chipped paint, 90's wallpaper, pink marble, hunter green & burgundy carpet, gold fixtures in the bathrooms, etc. It is straight out of the 90's. Elevators are painfully slow and wait for them is very long. Will never, ever sail RC again.
